I have put quite a bit of thinking into this and i factors the reasons why i should learn both languages.
Mandarin:
-China will soon have the largest economy in the world
-I’m thinking of having a career in east asia
-My mother is chinese
Japanese:
-I have thorough interest in Japanese culture
-I read/watch a lot of Japanese shows
-I already know around 50 japanese words off by heart
I would like to know your thoughts and personal experiences in learning either of these languages, and which one would be easier to start learning as an English speaker, thanks :).
