I’m 15 years old, I have an interest in languages, and aspire to be an interpreter/translator one day. I know learning this language will be highly beneficial, but due to the tones and thousands of characters, it almost seems impossible to learn for a Westerner.
Does anyone here have experience learning Mandarin Chinese? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
