Is Cantonese harder to learn than Mandarin?

I’m guessing a bit, i’ve heard both and Cantonese seems to have really short and unpronoucable quick sounds that I can’t break down, where Mandarin seems easier to slow down and break up.
I heard Cantonese has more tones too?
