I speak fluent Cantonese ever since I was little and I’m interested in studying more languages. I debated between Japanese and Mandarin and finally took one Japanese class. I did not like it at all so I’m planning to learn Mandarin since it’s spoken a lot around my area. Is it difficult to study Mandarin if you know Cantonese? Is there any plus for knowing Cantonese when studying mandarin?
