I am a sophomore in high school and I would really love to get into NYU, so if I take Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language, will that increase my odds of admission? My other options are: German, French and Spanish. Because China is an emerging economic power, and it seems very unique for an American student to know that language, will it work in my favor?
