Even at an Asian-American club meeting I remember someone who wasn’t Asian that mentioned that he thought all Asians were Chinese. It seems like Chinese-Americans or Chinese visiting/studying in America have it easier because of this because they’re obviously Chinese and able to many times speak Mandarin while for the rest of us too many people just assumes we’re Chinese.
