I have been accepted to a college and plan to major in Chinese, but I feel like some of the classes that colleges make you take might be a waste of time. While general ed is important, I’m not going to need advanced physics and calculus to be able to speak Mandarin. I have looked into the US Navy, but they won’t accept me because of my athsma (even though it is minor).
