I took a semester of Mandarin in my senior year of college, and I was fairly conversational at Japanese at one point (I realize that the spoken language is completely different than Chinese. Considering that I’m going on 31 in January, how well can I expect to be able to speak Marndarin if I study daily, and maybe spend some time in Taiwan or Mainland China?
