desperate to learn mandarin?

hi. i wanna learn mandarin and i’m having a hard time, btw i’m self-studying. the pronounciation is really hard. any person who’ll help me in any way is very welcome. tnx :))

If you have an iPod touch or iPhone I highly recommend a app called ispeak, it comes in many languages and from use it is fantastic, I am learning japanese, mandarin and Spanish. It helps with pronunciation, tests you etc. Hope I helped.

You mentioned that pronunciation is really hard for you. As for mastering pronunciation, you need to learn Chinese pinyin and Chinese tones well.
Chinese pinyin is the Chinese phonetic system and helps you pronounce Chinese words correctly. With four tones and Chinese Pinyin, any Chinese characters can be pronounced precisely.

By the way, here are some tips for you to master Chinese tones.
1. First of all, memorize, memorize, and memorize. Try to remember the Chinese tones as much as possible.
2. Find some simple Chinese audios and listen to them.
3. Practice makes perfect. Grasp every opportunity to speak with native Chinese people.
